Welcome to Kansas MGMA

Kansas Medical Group Management Association (Kansas MGMA) is the state affiliate of Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), a dynamic organization of professionals dedicated to developing solutions to the problems facing medical group practices. Kansas MGMA creates a forum for the exchange of ideas and information to encourage interaction among peers in dealing with the ever-changing face of health care. Our members are administrators of nationally known clinics, large and small group practices, and free-standing, hospital affiliated and university affiliated medical groups. Kansas MGMA has a diverse, talented representation of individuals which represent more than 1,650 physicians across our state.

4 Main Purposes

  • Serve the diverse needs of the membership through peer support and opportunities for skill development
  • Support the medical groups represented by providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information
  • Encourage the development of solutions to the problems of the medical group practice
  • Proactively exert a positive influence on the external forces impacting the direction and development of medical group practice

A Vital Resource

Kansas MGMA is a vital resource to medical practice administrators because it offers educational programs, publications, and networking opportunities as well as other services. Kansas MGMA provides members with important information concerning health care issues affecting medical practices. It prepares members to deal with state and local legislative and legal issues as well as keeping them informed about competition, third-party payers and the activities of various medical professional organizations. Members have the opportunity to meet with colleagues on a regular basis. Legally independent from the national Medical Group Management Association, the Kansas MGMA is governed by its own bylaws and elected leadership. Kansas MGMA is represented at the MGMA regional (section) and national levels through our member-elected Board of Directors.
